Peribán de Ramos serves as the municipal seat of Peribán, a municipality located in the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipality covers a total area of 331.87 square kilometres.
The region is bordered by several neighboring municipalities and states: Los Reyes to the north, Uruapan to the east, Tancítaro to the southeast, and Buenavista to the south. It shares its western border with the state of Jalisco. According to the 2005 census, the municipality had a population of 20,965 inhabitants.
