Jungapeo de Juárez is the municipal seat and primary city of the municipality of Jungapeo, located in the eastern region of the Mexican state of Michoacán. The surrounding municipality covers a total area of 265.98 square kilometres.
The municipality is bordered by several neighboring regions: Tuxpan to the north, Juárez and Zitácuaro to the east, Tuzantla to the south, and Hildago to the west. According to the 2005 census, the population of the municipality was recorded at 18,571 inhabitants.
