Copándaro de Galeana is a municipality located in the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipality covers a total area of 173.52 square kilometres and serves as the administrative center for its surrounding region.
The city of Copándaro de Galeana functions as the municipal seat. It is bordered by Huandacareo and Cuitzeo to the north, Tarímbaro to the east and south, and Chucándiro to the west. According to the 2005 census, the municipality had a population of 8,131 inhabitants.
