Churumuco is a municipality situated in the southeastern region of the Mexican state of Michoacán. It covers a total area of 1,119.44 square kilometres and serves as a local administrative division within the state.
The municipality is bordered by several neighboring regions: La Huacana to the north, Turicato to the northeast, the state of Guerrero to the south, Huetamo to the southwest, and Arteaga to the west. According to the 2005 census, the population of Churumuco was 13,801 inhabitants.
