Zacazonapan is a municipality located in the state of Mexico, situated in close proximity to Mexico City. The administrative seat of the municipality is the village of Zacazonapan.
The name of the municipality originates from the Nahuatl language and translates approximately to "in the River of the Dry Corn plants."
