Tenancingo de Degollado is a town located in the State of Mexico, Mexico. It serves as the municipal seat for the municipality of Tenancingo, which is one of 125 municipalities within the state.
The town is situated in the southern region of the state in the Tenancingo Valley, positioned just outside the Toluca Valley. While the official name of the municipality is Tenancingo, it is frequently distinguished from the town of Tenancingo, Tlaxcala, which is located in a different state.
