Temascalapa is a city located in the State of Mexico within the country of Mexico. It serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of the same name.
The city is situated to the north of Mexico City and in the western portion of its municipality, positioned near the border with the state of Hidalgo. It is connected by land to the city of Tizayuca. Historically, the locality was known as San Francisco Temascalapa.
