San Antonio la Isla is a municipality situated in the State of Mexico within the country of Mexico. The town of San Antonio la Isla serves as the municipal seat for the area.

The municipality is located in the Matlatzinca Valley, positioned south of Toluca, which is the state capital. Its original name was "Techialoyan" or "Tlachialoyan," a Nahuatl term translating to "place of those who watch." The municipal glyph depicts an eye on the apex of a pyramid floating on water.
