Chicoloapan de Juárez is the municipal seat and largest city within the municipality of Chicoloapan, located in the State of Mexico. It is situated in the eastern portion of the state, positioned just east of Chimalhuacán and northeast of the Federal District.
The city is part of the Greater Mexico City urban area. It serves as a primary administrative center for its surrounding municipality within the regional infrastructure of central Mexico.
