Tlajomulco de Zúñiga is the municipal seat and the third most populous city within the municipality of the same name. It is located in the state of Jalisco in central-western Mexico and forms part of the Guadalajara metropolitan area, situated to its southeast.
The municipality covers a total area of 636.93 km2. According to 2010 census data, the city had a population of 416,626, with a total urban population of 378,965.
