Autlán de Navarro is a city and surrounding municipality located in the Costa Sur region of the southwestern state of Jalisco, Mexico. It serves as the department capital and stands as the largest and most populated city within the Costa Sur region. The municipality covers a surface area of 705.1 km2.
The city is an important commercial exchange center and functions as a leader district in its region. Geographically, it is situated approximately 192 kilometers from the Guadalajara metropolitan area and 165 kilometers from Manzanillo, Colima. According to census data, the population of the municipality rose from 53,269 in 2005 to approximately 108,427 by 2010.
