Mineral del Monte is a small mining town located in the state of Hidalgo in east-central Mexico. It is one of the 84 municipalities within the state and is commonly referred to by the names Real del Monte or El Real.
The town is also known as "Moon an Menydh" in Cornish. It serves as a notable geographical point within the Hidalgo region, characterized primarily by its history as a mining settlement.
