Xochistlahuaca is a town situated in the Xochistlahuaca Municipality in the southeastern corner of the Mexican state of Guerrero. It is located within the Costa Chica region, an area that sits near the Pacific Ocean despite much of its territory being characterized by mountainous terrain.
The local population is primarily composed of the indigenous Amuzgo ethnicity. The community is notable for its traditional hand-woven garments, particularly the huipil. These textiles are produced by Amuzgo women for both domestic use and for sale to markets outside the region.
