Taxco de Alarcón is a small city and the administrative center of the Taxco de Alarcón Municipality in the Mexican state of Guerrero. It is situated in the north-central region of the state.
The city is located approximately 36 kilometres from Iguala, 135 kilometres from the state capital of Chilpancingo, and 170 kilometres southwest of Mexico City.
