Acapulco de Juárez, commonly known as Acapulco, is a major seaport and city located in the state of Guerrero on Mexico's Pacific Coast. Situated approximately 380 kilometres (240 mi) south of Mexico City, it serves as the municipal seat of the municipality of Acapulco, Guerrero. It is the largest city in the state, significantly exceeding the size of the state capital, Chilpancingo.

The city is situated on a deep, semicircular bay and has functioned as a port since the early colonial period of Mexican history. Today, it remains an active port of call for shipping and cruise lines traveling between Panama and San Francisco, California. Acapulco is recognized as Mexico's largest beach and balneario resort city.
