Xichú is a city and municipality located in the Northeast region of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. It covers an area of 912.20 square kilometres and is situated entirely within the Sierra Gorda mountain range.
The municipality shares borders with the states of San Luis Potosí to the north and Querétaro to the south. It is also bordered by the neighboring municipalities of Atarjea to the east, Victoria to the west, and Santa Catarina to the south. According to the 2005 census, Xichú had a population of 11,323 inhabitants.
