Tarandacuao

Tarandacuao is a city located in the lowlands of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 117.39 square kilometres and serves as a regional hub for several outlying communities, including La Purísima, San Juan De Dios, San José de Hidalgo, San Antonio, El Tocuz, San Felipe, and La Virgen.

The municipality is bordered by Jerécuaro to the north and east, the state of Michoacán to the south, and Acámbaro to the west. According to the 2005 census, Tarandacuao had a population of 11,583 inhabitants.
