Santiago Maravatio is a city located in the Bajío region of the Mexican state of Guanajuato. The municipality covers an area of 91.760 square kilometres, representing less than 1% of the total surface area of the state.
The city is bordered by several neighboring municipalities, including Salvatierra to the north, east, and southeast, and Yuriria to the west.
