Romita is a city located in the Southwest region of the Mexican state of Guanajuato. It serves as the seat of its own municipality, which covers a total area of 442.10 square kilometres.
The municipality is bordered by several neighboring areas, including León to the north, Silao to the east, and Abasolo and Cuerámaro to the southwest. To the west, it shares borders with Manuel Doblado and San Francisco del Rincón. According to the 2005 census, Romita had a population of 105,825 inhabitants.
