Moroleón is a city and the municipal seat of the municipality of Moroleón located in the Mexican state of Guanajuato. It is situated near the cities of Yuriria, Morelia, and Uriangato.
The city forms part of the metropolitan area of Uriangato-Moroleón along with the city of Uriangato. As of 2005, the municipality covers an area of 164.97 km² with a municipal population of 46,751 and an urban population of 41,909.
