Huanímaro is a city and municipality located in the Southwest region of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. It covers a total area of 130.57 square kilometres.
The municipality is bordered by Abasolo to the north and west, Valle de Santiago to the east, and the state of Michoacán to the south. According to the 2005 census, the population of Huanímaro was 19,693 inhabitants.
