Apaseo el Grande is a city and municipality located in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 415.26 square kilometres (160 sq mi) and serves as a regional administrative division.
The territory is bordered by several neighboring regions: Comonfort and San Miguel de Allende to the north, the state of Querétaro to the east, Apaseo el Alto to the south, and Celaya to the west. According to the 2010 census, the municipality had a population of 85,319 inhabitants.
