Vicente Guerrero is a city located in Mexico. The name originates from Vicente Ramón Guerrero Saldaña, a prominent Mexican military officer and statesman who served as the nation's second president in 1829.

Guerrero was a leading general during the Mexican War of Independence against Spain between 1810 and 1821. Historically, he is noted for living alongside Indigenous people in Tlaltelulco, where he possessed the ability to speak both Spanish and various Indigenous languages.
