Nuevo Ideal is a city located in the Mexican state of Durango. It is situated on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range.
The city was established in the 1920s when it became home to a population of Mennonite immigrants who arrived from Canada. As of 2020, Nuevo Ideal had a total population of 12,850 residents.
