Delegacion Cuajimalpa de Morelos

Mexico

Cuajimalpa de Morelos is a borough located on the western side of Mexico City. It is situated within the Sierra de las Cruces mountains, which serve as the geographical boundary between Mexico City and the State of Mexico.

The borough takes its name from the former rural town of Cuajimalpa, an area that has since been integrated into urban sprawl. Notable landmarks in the region include the Desierto de los Leones National Park, which was the first national park declared in Mexico. The area is also known for hosting the second largest annual passion play in Mexico City.
