Valle de Allende is the municipal seat and largest city within the municipality of Allende, located in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is recognized as one of the oldest cities in the state.
The city was founded in 1569 by Franciscan friars. While it is currently known as Valle de Allende, it was originally established under the name Valle de San Bartolomé in honor of Bartholomew the Apostle.
