Delicias is a city located in the Mexican state of Chihuahua and serves as the seat of the municipality of the same name. Situated southeast of the state capital, it was officially declared an official municipality on January 7, 1935. Founded on April 30, 1933, Delicias is recognized as one of the youngest cities in Mexico.
The city functions as a major agricultural center and a small industrial hub within the Conchos River Valley. While it is one of the smallest municipalities in Chihuahua by land area, it maintains a significant population; as of 2015, the city had 148,045 inhabitants, with the broader metropolitan area totaling 223,993 people.
