Tenejapa is a municipality located in the state of Chiapas in southern Mexico. The region serves as a populated administrative area within the country's southeastern geography.
The municipality covers a total land area of 99.4 km2. According to census data, the population grew from 33,161 in 2005 to 40,268 by the year 2010.
