San José del Cabo is a coastal city located in Mexico on the Gulf of California coast. It is situated near the southern tip of the Mexican state of Baja California Sur.
The city sits on the edge of a shallow bay and is positioned approximately 32 kilometres (20 mi) northeast of Cabo San Lucas. Together, these two cities share the title of Los Cabos.
