Tecate

Tecate is a city located in the state of Baja California, Mexico. It serves as a significant regional economic hub and a popular tourist destination within the San Diego–Tijuana metropolitan region. Geographically, it is situated across the Mexico–US border from Tecate, California, and stands as the largest city positioned between Tijuana and Mexicali.

As of 2019, the municipality of Tecate had a population of 108,860 inhabitants, while its broader metropolitan area reached a population of 132,406. The city is notably recognized for housing the Tecate Port of Entry and as the production site of Tecate beer.
