Rosarito is a coastal city located in the Playas de Rosarito Municipality of Baja California on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. It is situated approximately 10 miles (16 km) south of the United States–Mexico border and serves as one of the westernmost cities in the country.
As part of the greater San Diego–Tijuana region, Rosarito has a population that was recorded at 65,278 in 2010. The city is a prominent tourist destination recognized for its beaches and resorts, as well as hosting events such as the Baja Beach Fest.
