Rîbnița, also known as Rybnitsa, is a town located in the breakaway region of Transnistria within Moldova. It serves as the administrative seat of the Rîbnița District and is situated in the northern half of the territory.
The town is positioned on the left bank of the Dniester River and is separated from the water by a concrete dam. According to data from the 2004 census, the population of Rîbnița was 53,648.
