Al Diwaniyah, also spelled Diwaniya, is a city located in Iraq. It serves as the capital city of the Al-Qādisiyyah Governorate. As of 2014, the population of the city was estimated to be approximately 700,000 residents.
The city was founded by the rulers of the Khaza'il Dynasty. Its formal name is Khuza'ahs Diwaniyah, which translates to Khuza'ahs Guest House.
