Al-Fāw is a port town situated on the Al-Faw Peninsula in Iraq. It is located near the Shatt al-Arab waterway and the Persian Gulf, within the Basra Governorate.
The town is positioned approximately 100 kilometers from the provincial capital of Basra. It has a population of about 52,000 people.
