Ashmyany, also known as Oshmyany, is a city located in the Grodno Region of Belarus. It serves as the administrative center for the Ashmyany District and is situated near the border with Lithuania, approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) from Vilnius.
The city is characterized by its location along the river Ashmyanka, which passes through the urban area. As of 2025, the population of Ashmyany is recorded at 16,804 residents.
