Cobija is the capital city of the department of Pando in Bolivia. It is situated in the Amazon Basin, approximately 600 km north of La Paz, near the national border with Brazil.
The city is located on the banks of the Rio Acre, directly across from the Brazilian city of Brasiléia. Situated at an elevation of about 280 meters above sea level, Cobija features a tropical and rainy climate.
