Obolon is a neighbourhood and district in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital and most populous city, which sits on the Dnieper River in north-central Ukraine. For a visitor, the good news is that Obolon is well served by the same extensive public transport system that covers the rest of Kyiv, so you can reach the centre quickly and cheaply without a car.

Booking through an app is generally the easiest way to get a clear price and a reliable pickup.
Walkability
Walking between Obolon and central Kyiv is possible but slow: on foot the trip takes well over an hour and a half. That makes walking a realistic option only for short local errands within Obolon itself, not for getting into the centre. For anything longer, use the metro, a tram or a taxi.
