An Overview of Getting Around Çorum
Çorum is a compact, easy-going city for a visitor to navigate. The main sights are concentrated in the central area, and the city centre itself is walkable, with shops, parks, fountains, restaurants and cafes all reachable on foot. For anything beyond the centre, a mix of minibuses, municipal buses and taxis fills the gap.
Walking
Walking is the simplest way to cover the sights. Because the attractions are clustered in the central area, you can plan a day on foot without needing to arrange transport. The centre is compact enough that the main draws sit within easy strolling distance of one another.
Buses and Minibuses (Dolmuş)
Public transport in Çorum is built around municipal buses and minibuses, known locally as dolmuş. These connect the city centre with the surrounding neighbourhoods and run along the main streets, so they are a practical option if you are staying away from the centre or heading to a specific district.

Taxis and Ride-Hailing
Taxis are available in the city, and ride-hailing services also operate here. For a visitor, this makes point-to-point trips straightforward when walking or waiting for a dolmuş is not convenient.
Cycling
Cycling is better suited to touring outside the city than to getting around within it. Marked Gastronomy and Walking routes extend over a long distance through the surrounding area and are well suited to exploring further afield. Within the city, dedicated urban bike lanes are reportedly limited, so cycling is less practical for everyday trips around town.
Getting There and Airport Connections
Çorum has no airport of its own, so arrivals come by road or rail via nearby hubs.

- Ankara (ESB): offers more flights as well as high-speed train connections.
By road, Çorum sits northeast of Ankara, and the D795 highway to Samsun bypasses the town to the north. Samsun, on the coast, lies further northeast.
Intercity buses are the main way in. Services from Istanbul run regularly and continue onward toward Samsun, with some extending to Trabzon. Buses from Kayseri, Antalya and Izmir are likewise routed toward Samsun. Bus lines operating on these routes include Metro Turizm and Flix Bus.
On arrival, Çorum Yeni Otogar (the "new" bus terminal) sits southwest of the city centre. It is clean and spacious but has few eating places. Dolmuşes run downtown from the south wing of the terminal, and your ride into the centre may be included in your intercity ticket, so it is worth checking when you book.
