Getting to the City
If you are arriving by air at the Hermanos Serdán International Airport (PBC), you will find it a smaller facility that is easy to navigate. From here, you can arrange transport into the city center. If you are traveling from Mexico City, there are several ways to reach the capital of Puebla:
- By Bus: This is a common method for reaching the city. Buses depart frequently throughout the day and night from both the Benito Juarez International Airport and the TAPO terminal in Mexico City. There are two main terminals in Puebla: the Centro de Autobuses Puebla (CAPU), which serves as the primary hub, and the smaller neighboring CAP terminal.
- By Ridesharing: Shared rides are an option for those traveling between Mexico City and Puebla.
Local Transportation
Once you are within the city of Puebla, there are several ways to move between neighborhoods and landmarks.
- City Buses: A network of city buses operates generally from 07:00 to 22:00. These are a common way to navigate the city, with fares typically paid in cash. While these buses are generally considered safe, it is advisable to keep bags and backpacks secure when the vehicles are crowded.
- Ride-Hailing Apps: For those who prefer a private ride via an app, services such as Uber, Cabify, and Didi are available throughout the city.

Navigating from the Bus Terminal

- Local Bus Connection: You can take a city bus (such as line 44) from the area near the bridge over Blvrd Nte. To reach the Zocalo, ride until the bus reaches Av. 10 Ote and walk the remaining few blocks.
