Getting from the Airport to Pudong
Travelers arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport have several options for reaching the city center and the Pudong district. The fastest method is the magnetic levitation (Maglev) train, which provides a high-speed connection to Longyang Road Station in approximately 10 minutes. Tickets for the Maglev are available at a discounted rate if presented with a same-day flight ticket.
Alternatively, travelers can take Metro Line 2 directly from the airport into the city. This line serves as a primary artery connecting the airport to the heart of Pudong and across the river into Puxi. For those traveling by car or taxi, the main route into the district is via the Yan'an Tunnel; however, visitors should be aware that this route can experience significant traffic delays during peak hours and on weekends.
