Getting Around Jing'an
Jing'an is a central district of Shanghai, and its location makes it easy to reach and easy to explore on foot. The district is served by the metro, and the main hub for visitors is Jing'an Temple station, which sits right in the middle of the action.
Metro and Rail
The metro is the most straightforward way to get into Jing'an and to move between its neighborhoods. Two lines serve the district directly:
- Line 2 stops at Jing'an Temple station and at Nanjing Road West station. Nanjing Road West lies to the east of Jing'an Temple, on the district's main shopping road.
- Line 7 also stops at Jing'an Temple station. Heading north on Line 7, you reach Changping Road station and then Changshou Road station. Heading south, Line 7 leads into the French Concession.
