For those seeking more comfort or a direct route, an Airport Shuttle (operated by Aeroporto Executivo) provides a premium experience. These minibuses feature air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and USB chargers, offering a more convenient connection to downtown locations such as Shopping Estação. Alternatively, taxis are available 24 hours a day at the airport for those preferring a private ride.
Navigating the City via Public Transport
Public transportation is widely considered one of the best ways to navigate Curitiba. The city is famous for its Integrated Transportation Network (Rede Integrada de Transporte), which utilizes dedicated busways and "tube" stations. This system allows passengers to board and exit through all doors and offers free transfers between different routes when moving between specific bus depots or tube stations.

While public transport is extensive, taxis remain an option for 24-hour availability. However, navigating the city by private car or taxi can be challenging for visitors due to a complex layout of one-way streets, specific parking restrictions, and zones reserved exclusively for pedestrians or buses.
Walkability and Local Navigation
The city center is laid out primarily on a grid system with wide avenues and spacious sidewalks. However, because many streets are restricted to buses or pedestrians only, walking is best utilized within specific districts or as part of a multi-modal journey using the bus network.
Nighttime Travel Tips
For those traveling late at night, there are specific rules regarding bus stops. For safety reasons, on buses that are not part of the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system, passengers can request the driver to stop anywhere along the route after 10:00 PM. Note that most standard buses stop circulating at midnight, with only "madrugueiros" (early morning) buses running between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM.
