10. Láodòng (Labour) Park

11. Dalian Forest Zoo
Set in the hillsides south of the city centre in Xigang District, the Forest Zoo is one of the few Dalian attractions that stands up to international expectations, with large exhibits and a good variety of species. It is split into two sections on opposite sides of a mountain and also offers an indoor rainforest of plant species and various performances showcasing animal talent.
Its pandas, both great and red, are probably the main attraction, though rhinos, tigers, lions and polar bears are among the larger animals you can see, along with several primate species and birds. Allow most of a day.
12. People's Square
