2. Along the Kushinagar–Deoria road, near the Ramabhar Stupa
The Ramabhar Stupa, the Buddha's cremation place, lies 1.5 km east of the Parinirvana Temple on the Kushinagar–Deoria road. Basing yourself on this side of town keeps you close to the stupa and its surrounding votive stupas and vihara remains, while remaining a short ride from the main complex.

The Ramabhar Stupa is only 1.5 km east on the Kushinagar–Deoria road if you want to add it.
