Di An
Introduction
Dĩ An is a ward of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and one of the new wards, communes and special zones created when the city was reorganised in 2025. It is the most populous ward in Ho Chi Minh City.
Three days in Di An
Day one: Base yourself in Dĩ An and get your bearings in this Vietnamese town before venturing further afield. Use the day to settle in, wander the local streets, and adjust to the warm, humid climate. Dĩ An sits within easy reach of Ho Chi Minh City, so keep the first day relaxed and close to where you are staying.
Day two: Head into Ho Chi Minh City for a full day of exploring Vietnam's largest urban centre. The journey from Dĩ An is straightforward, letting you spend your time on the city's streets, markets and landmarks rather than on logistics. Return to Dĩ An in the evening.
Day three: Spend your final day back in Dĩ An, revisiting whatever appealed to you most and slowing down before you move on. If time allows, make a second short trip into Ho Chi Minh City for anything you missed, then enjoy a quiet evening in town.
