Mukono

Introduction

Mukono Town is a municipality in Mukono District, in Uganda's Central Region. The town is administered by the Mukono Town Council, and it serves as the headquarters of Mukono District.

Three days in Mukono

Day one: Start your time in Mukono Town, the busy commercial centre of Mukono District in Uganda's Central Region. Wander the streets and markets to get your bearings, then use the town as your base for exploring the wider district.

Day two: Head out into Mukono District, which surrounds the town and stretches across part of the Central Region. Take your time moving between the town and the surrounding area, and return to Mukono Town in the evening.

Day three: Spend your final day back in Mukono Town, revisiting the parts of the town you liked most. If you want to understand how the town is run, note that Mukono Town Council is the body responsible for its administration.
