Makiyivka

Introduction

Makiivka is an industrial city in Donetsk Oblast, in eastern Ukraine, lying just 15 kilometres east of Donetsk. The two cities are practically a conurbation, so you can treat them as a single urban area when you plan your travels. The city was known as Dmytriivsk until 1931, and it hosts the administration of Makiivka urban hromada.
