Neihu

Introduction

Neihu is a district of Taipei City, Taiwan. Its name means "inner lake," and the older name for the area comes from the Ketagalan word Tayour, referring to a woman's head ornament.

Three days in Neihu

Day one: Start your time in Neihu, a district of Taipei City in Taiwan, by getting your bearings in the neighbourhood itself. Its character comes from the mix of old settlement and newer city growth, so give yourself time to walk rather than rush between stops.

Day two: Look into the area's older layers, including the Ketagalan heritage tied to this part of Taiwan. Use the day to move slowly through Neihu and let the district's history sit alongside its everyday city life in Taipei City.

Day three: Keep your final day loose. Revisit whichever part of Neihu suited you best, whether that was the streets or the older traces of Tayour, and leave room for the unplanned before you move on from Taiwan.
