Sultanbeyli

Introduction

Sultanbeyli is a district on the Asian side of Istanbul, set inland rather than on the water. It borders Sancaktepe to the west, Pendik to the east and Kartal to the south-west, and it is served by two metro stations, Hasanpaşa and Sultanbeyli.

Three days in Sultanbeyli

Day one: Start by getting your bearings in Sultanbeyli itself, a district on the Asian side of Istanbul. It sits among Sancaktepe, Pendik and Kartal, so you can use those neighbouring districts to orient yourself as you walk the streets and settle into the rhythm of the area.

Day two: Spend the day exploring Hasanpaşa, taking in the local character of the neighbourhood on foot. Keep your route simple and let the district's everyday life set the pace rather than rushing between stops.

Day three: Use your final day to revisit whichever part of Sultanbeyli or its surroundings appealed to you most, whether that is Hasanpaşa or the wider district. It is a chance to slow down before you leave the Asian side of Istanbul.
