Sector 2
Introduction
Sector 2 is one of the administrative units that make up Bucharest, Romania's capital. As a sector rather than a standalone city, it forms part of the larger urban whole, so treat it as one district within a wider city to explore rather than a destination in its own right.
Three days in Sector 2
Day one: Start by getting your bearings in Sector 2 itself, the part of Bucharest that spreads east of the city centre. Wander its residential streets and busy markets to get a feel for everyday life in this corner of Romania, then head into the centre for the landmarks that anchor the whole city.
Day two: Give the day to Bucharest's core. Work through the major sights at an unhurried pace, stopping when something catches your eye, and let the city's mix of grand boulevards and lived-in neighbourhoods set the rhythm. Keep the evening loose so you can follow whatever part of Sector 2 you found most appealing.
Day three: Return to Sector 2 and fill in what you missed, whether that means a longer walk through its streets or a slower morning before you move on. Use the time to connect the centre with the sector rather than treating them as separate trips, and leave with a sense of how Bucharest works as a whole.
